Hunan, China Southern Airlines to Deepen Cooperation

On the afternoon of January 23, Hunan and China Southern Airlines signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement. Xu Dazhe, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, and Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and acting governor of Hunan Province, met with Ma Xulun, chairman of China Southern Airlines Co., Ltd. and his entourage. They attended the signing ceremony.
Zhang Jianfei, standing committee member and secretary-general of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, participated. Vice Governor Chen Fei and China Southern Airlines Deputy General Manager Luo Laijun signed the contract on behalf of both sides.
Xu Dazhe welcomed Ma Xulun and his entourage, and expressed his gratitude to China Southern Airlines for its strong support for Hunan's epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development. He said that in the past year, Hunan has made extraordinary achievements in promoting epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, fighting the three critical battles against poverty, pollution and potential risks, and ensuring stability on the six fronts and security in the six areas, to achieve results that satisfy the Party and the people.
Xu added that Hunan is thoroughly implementing the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s important speech made when inspecting Hunan, following the practical requirements of the new development philosophy at the new development stage to establish a new development paradigm, vigorously implementing the "three highlands and four new missions" strategy in accordance with the arrangement of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee plenary session, and striving to build a modern new Hunan.
Xu continued that the cooperation provides a broad space for the development of the civil aviation industry. He hoped that the two sides will take it as a new starting point to jointly promote the high-quality development of Hunan air transport, and cultivate more new growth points in such areas as airport economy, aviation and tourism integration, so as to achieve a higher level of common development.
Ma Xulun said that China Southern Airlines will earnestly implement the agreement signed this time, and closely follow the "three highlands and four new missions" strategy. Ma said that Hunan and China Southern Airlines enjoy a sound foundation of cooperation. China Southern Airlines will expand cooperation with Hunan and continuously improve effectiveness, and contribute to building a modern new Hunan.
Under the agreement, Hunan and China Southern Airlines will further deepen cooperation in optimizing Hunan's air route layout, promoting the development of Hunan’s international and regional air transport business, advancing the development of air freight and general aviation industry, and pushing forward the integration of aviation and tourism. High-level regular consultation and interdepartmental coordination mechanisms will be established.
