Between January and June, Hunan achieved a total import and export volume of 208.07 billion CNY, an increase of 13.4% against the trend. This was 16.6 percentage points higher than the national average growth rate. The total amount ranked 15th and the growth rate ranked third nationwide. The actual use of foreign capital was 10.4 billion USD, grew by 8.6%; the amount of paid-in domestic investment was 411.94 billion USD, up 17.3%; and, the actual utilization of foreign direct investment was 680 million USD, an increase of 14.9% and ranking first in terms of growth speed in central China. The total retail sales of consumer goods was 712.39 billion CNY, down 6.6%. The rate of decline narrowed by 4.9 percentage points from the first quarter.

Meanwhile, the domestic economy is rebounding rapidly, policy dividends are gradually appearing, and Hunan’s opening up conditions are constantly improving.
