Secretary Du, Governor Xu Hold Separate Talks with CCB President

On June 10 afternoon, Du Jiahao, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee; and Xu Dazhe, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Hunan governor, had separate talks with Liu Guiping, president of the China Construction Bank (CCB). They exchanged opinions on further implementing the comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement and boosting the high-quality development.

Appreciating CCB’s long-term support for Hunan’s economic and social development, Secretary Du said that in recent years, CCB and other major financial institutions had given full play to their core function of finance serving economy; focused on Hunan’s overall development to carry out their work; and contributed to the construction of major infrastructure and industrial projects, the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), and the improvement of people’s livelihood in Hunan.
At present, Hunan will continue to consolidate the achievements in epidemic prevention and control, promote active resumption of production and work for target output; and ensure stability on the six fronts including employment, finance, foreign trade, foreign and domestic investments, and expectations; and security in the six areas like employment, people’s basic livelihood, market entities, grain and energy security, stability of the industrial and supply chains, and community-level management.
It is hoped that CCB can make full use of its advantages; deepen the mutual strategic cooperation; keep expanding its business in Hunan; innovate financial products; further inclusive financial services; vigorously support the poverty alleviation, rural finance and the financing of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises; and help Hunan to fight the tree critical battles against potential risk, poverty, and pollution, revitalize the real economy, advance the high-quality growth, and ensure the “double victories” in epidemic prevention and control, and social and economic development.
Governor Xu noted that since the Hunan Provincial People’s Government and CCB signed the agreement on deepening comprehensive strategic cooperation, the two sides had actively carried forward the detailed and thorough implementation of the agreement, generating remarkable achievements. He expected CCB to upgrade its products and services, and provide all-round financial backup in enterprises’ restoration of production and work, MSMEs’ bailout, rural financial services, featured town construction, the revitalization of the old revolutionary bases at Hunan-Jiangxi border area, and the prevention and mitigation of debt risk, to help Hunan build a moderately prosperous society in all aspects with higher quality and more successes. Hunan will work with CCB to explore more ways to cooperate, innovate cooperation mechanism and broaden the range of cooperation, in a bid to reach a win-win development.
CCB President Liu stated that Hunan now enjoys a sound economic foundation and high-quality development trend and this facilitates financial institutions to provide services. And he said CCB will continue to focus on its business, renew financial service model, better financial products, keep meeting market demand and contribute more to Hunan’s economic and social development.
