Huitang Hot Springs, Changsha

Soaking in a hotspring can be wonderful therapy. Located in Huitang Town, south of Ningxiang City, Huitang Hot Spring is one of the three most famous high-temperature hot springs in China. It has a history of 2,000 years. The water emerges at 102℃ and remains as high as 89.5℃.

Getting there: take a high-speed train to Changsha, then a coach to Ningxiang.

Local food: ricefield eel stewed with sweet potato powder; spicy snake; and hot and sour free-range chicken

Rucheng Hot Spring, Chenzhou

Rucheng Hot Springs are high water temperature, with large flow, and good water quality. It is a natural hot spring within a large thermal field. The green mountains, clear water, and bamboo dwellings form a picturesque scenery. It is an excellent place for physical and mental health, leisure and vacation.

Getting there: take a high-speed train to Chenzhou, then a coach to Rucheng.

Local food: Dongjiang fish; Guidong dried salted duck; and, Jiahe duck
