It will enable the Hunan people to enjoy high-end fresh ingredients from all over the world, such as Brazilian chicken, Kazakhstan beef and mutton, Japanese and Canadian seafood, and New Zealand dairy products.
Secretary Du said, “Hunan Province is a large agricultural powerhouse. Its output of major agricultural and sideline products such as rice and pigs leads China. The sales revenue of agricultural products processing industry is 1.65 trillion CNY. It is the largest industry in Hunan. Hunan’s agricultural machinery production also has some advantages.” He continued, “Hunan is now accelerating agriculture modernization and striving to build a high-quality agricultural and sideline product supply base featuring fine agriculture. This is highly complementary to QuaTerNes. We welcome QuaTerNes speedy adjustment to Hunan and hope that it will comprehensively deepen cooperation in agricultural machinery and equipment, cold chain processing and logistics, food import and export trade, agricultural product cultivation and processing and sales, and food safety. Hunan government will fully support its investment in Hunan.”
He noted that Jan Hak has made important contributions in promoting China-Netherland economic and trade cooperation since assuming the chairmanship of the China-Netherlands Entrepreneur Association. He anticipates that Mr. Hak will pay more attention to Hunan and assist in promoting more exchange and cooperation in port logistics, petrochemical, water management and other aspects, to achieve win-win results.
Mr. Hak thanked Secretary Du for his interest in the QuaTerNes Changsha project. Hunan's huge developmental potential, superior business environment, and large market space in central China has further strengthened his confidence and determination to invest in Hunan. He noted that QuaTerNes, while accelerating the Changsha center construction, will also deepen its comprehensive collaboration with Hunan in modern agriculture, intelligent manufacturing, and international food trade, to help the rural integration of primary, secondary and tertiary industries in Hunan.
