Five Maglev Trains with Free WiFi to Start Trial Operation

Hunan Maglev Transportation Development Co., Ltd. told the press on May 3, 2016 that passengers will be able to get access to free WiFi on Changsha medium-low speed maglev train by scanning QR code printed on the train.
The entirety of Changsha's maglev track is 18.55km long. Starting from the high-speed rail station in the west, and from Huanghua airport in the east, with the entire track is suspended above ground level. The entire journey is comprised of three stations; the maglev Changsha high speed train station, Langli station and the maglev airport station. It is to open to the public from May 6.
The track allows maglev trains to run at a maximum speed of 100 km per hour. Five maglev trains in total in two versions of red-and-black and blue-and-black design will be on trial run. The 3-car maglev train is able to carry up to 363 passengers. It takes about 20 minutes to complete the whole journey.
Flight information of Huanghua Airport will be synchronously seen on electronic displays on trains, as allows passengers to get the most up to date travel information, such as the departure time of flights and flight delays.
