Xiang Embroidery Exhibited at Changsha Metro Station

Xiang Embroidery Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition opens at the Nanmenkou Station on Changsha Metro Line 1.

Station hall is decorated in an antique style, with distinctive Chinese characteristics. 



Xiang Embroidery on display 


A Xiang Embroidery Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition was launched at Nanmenkou Station on Changsha Metro Line 1 on August 9, the day of Qixi Festival.

In addition to abundant pictures telling about over-2000-year development of the Xiang embroidery, more than 100 embroidery masterpieces were exhibited at the station hall. Passers-by were attracted to stop still to appreciate these splendid works.

This exhibition, a part of Changsha Metro Line’s 2016 “Star Service” Activities, marked the beginning of the series exhibitions of intangible cultural heritage at Changsha Metro Line.
