2nd Changsha Azalea Cultural Tourism Festival Opens

The 2nd Changsha Azalea Cultural Tourism Festival kicked off at the Changsha Landscape and Ecology Garden on the morning of April 16. The photo shows a lot of visitors attracted by the azaleas that are in full blossom.

 

Azalea, the floral emblem of Changsha City, is deeply loved by Changsha people for its bright colors and tenacious vitality.

The festival focuses on more than 10,000 large azalea trees, including one third century-old ones, as well as a variety of spring flowers such as hyacinth, Chinese flowering crab-apple, Chinese violet cress, and magnolia.

Organized by the Changsha Landscape Architecture Administrative Bureau, the festival will last till late April.

 

Location: close to the bank of the Laodao River, Luohanzhuang Village, Laodaohe Town, Kaifu District, Changsha City

How to Get There: Take Bus No. 149 and get off at the stop of Pengjiaxiang (彭家巷). Then you can take a motorcycle before getting to the destination. It takes no more than 10 minutes.
