2021 World Computer Conference

A press briefing for the 2021 World Computer Conference was held in Beijing on July 28. The conference will be hosted by the People's Government of Hunan Province and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It will be held in Changsha from September 16 to 18.

There will be an opening ceremony or forum, 6 theme summits, 4 special events, 2 featured events, several thematic activities and a special exhibition on computing innovation and digital empowerment. The conference is composed of three chapters: Computing Everything; Innovation and Creation; and, Hubs Building.

“The conference will build an international platform for professional exchanges, high-level matchmaking and in-depth cooperation for the global computing industry, and facilitate the  in-depth cooperation in this industry,” said Ren Aiguang, deputy director of the Electronic Information Department of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Well-known academia and industry experts and scholars at home and abroad will be invited to share technological trends and innovation achievements. Various high-level activities will be planned, including academician dialogues, lecture halls and theme summits. Well-known think tanks and research institutions at home and abroad will be organized to release a number of high-level research achievements.

Compared with the previous two sessions, this year’s conference will have a richer content and involve a wider range of fields. A series of influential cooperation results will be announced, aiming to attract more young college students, and promote the organic connection of industrial chain, innovation chain, education chain and talent chain.

The conference will introduce super-computing, artificial intelligence, 5G communication, cloud live broadcast and other technologies into a series of activities. The updates will be released to the world in real time through mainstream media platforms and social networks.
