Hunan Selects 7 Pilot Regions for Promoting Prefabricated Construction

The Hunan Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued a Notice on Promoting Prefabricated Construction in Hunan recently. According to the notice, seven cities and counties (districts), including Changsha, Zhuzhou, and Loudi, are designated as pilots for steel-structure prefabricated housing construction.  
The areas for promoting prefabricated construction has been further expanded. The less-than-100-meter-high newly-built and renovated commodity housings in the residential communities in old towns of central cities; and, the prefabricated construction projects in the regions designated by local governments, should be prefabricated. 
The seven pilot cities and counties (districts) are Changsha, Zhuzhou, Loudi, Shaoyang, and Jishou cities, Xiangyin County, and West Dongting Lake Administrative District of Changde. The newly-build houses with a height of more than 100 meters, and the low-rise and multiple-storey houses in rural areas, should prioritize steel-structure prefabricated construction. 
Noncompliance by any design, production, construction, and supervision enterprises will lead to bad credit records and be exposed to the public. The notice will take effect between December 18, 2019 and December 17, 2024.
