The Hunan (Changsha) Battery Industry Expo 2020 kicked off at the Ningxiang High-tech Development Zone on October 27. It was organized by the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, and the Changsha Municipal People’s Government.

Yao Laiying, Standing Committee member of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Committee of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Hunan Provincial People’s Government, attended and delivered a speech.

Qian Yitai, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; and, Xia Jianping, CPC Changsha Municipal Committee Standing Committee member and Changsha executive vice mayor, were present.

The expo covers an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters. Special areas for new energy vehicles, batteries, PACK and application, battery materials, and industrial equipment have been set up. There are more than 170 high-quality exhibitors in the industrial chain of advanced energy storage materials. The 8th China Battery “Davos” Forum and the 10th China Battery Industry Award ceremony will be held during the three-day expo.
