Executive Vice Governor Xie Meets with Australian Consul-General in Guangzhou

On September 17, Xie Jianhui, CPC Hunan Provincial Standing Committee member and executive vice governor, met with Michael Sadleir, Australian consul-general in Guangzhou, and his entourage in Changsha.

Executive Vice Governor Xie welcomed the guests and briefed them on the province. She said that Hunan and Australia have close economic and trade exchanges and broad cooperation prospects. Hunan will implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instructions; respond to the “Belt and Road” initiative; and, further strengthen cooperation with Australia in the fields of energy and minerals, cultural tourism, sci-tech education, smart cities, and agricultural products. We will further deepen collaboration with Australia and provide service guarantees for Australian enterprises in Hunan. We expect that Australia will strengthen protection and support for Hunan enterprises in Australia, she added.

Consul-General Sadleir thanked the province for its efforts to deepen cooperation between both sides. He believed that Hunan and Australia have great cooperation potential in many fields, and hoped that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two sides will be further deepened.
