CRRC Zhuzhou Vehicle Co. Ltd recently shipped this NX70 general-purpose flat wagon. The pictured wagon is part of the company’s first shipment of the 1,200 vehicles this year. They will serve China-Europe Railway freight as part of the national “Belt and Road” initiative.

In the first half of this year, China-Europe freight trains have made 5,122 trips, 36% more than this time last year. Monthly trips set records for four months in a row. The record high was 1,169 in June.

Production began in late March. COVID-19 and equipment upgrades, labor and material shortages, had to be dealt with by CRRC Zhuzhou Vehicle to fulfill the contract on time with quality and quantity guaranteed.
