A batch of donated medical protective products were sent from Changsha to Dominican Republic, Centre-Val de Loire Region of France, and Tokushima of Japan, on March 25. The donations include 14,000 N95 masks, 12,000 disposable medical masks, 100 protective suits, and 100 protective eyewear products.

As the COVID-19 epidemic is spreading around the world, some friendship cities of Hunan suffer shortage of protective materials. Recently, Du Jiahao, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, and Xu Dazhe, Hunan governor, on behalf of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the Hunan Provincial People’s Government, sent letters of sympathy to the countries and regions, including Dominican Republic, Tokushima and Shiga of Japan, Gyeongsangbuk-do of South Korea, Marche Region of Italy, Centre-Val de Loire Region of France, and Saarland of Germany.

Over the past month, Hunan has implemented President Xi Jinping’s instructions and Chinese government requirements. The positive trend in the epidemic prevention and control work is expanding. At present, Hunan is boosting coordination of epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development. Hunan is willing to stand with the friends, to share experience and strengthen scientific and technological cooperation, so as to fight the epidemic together.

During the critical period of epidemic prevention and control, Hunan had received warm supports and assistance from the world. According to incomplete statistics, 27 governmental departments, enterprises, and NGOs from 15 countries and regions sent letters of greeting to the Foreign Affairs Office of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee. Friendship cities in Japan, Switzerland, South Korea, and Mexico, as well as organizations in Netherlands, South Africa, Vietnam, U.S., and Saudi Arabia, donated urgently needed protective materials to assist Hunan’s battle against the epidemic.

Hunan’s previous donations to Shiga of Japan; Gyeongsangbuk-do and Gumi of South Korea; Lombardia and Marche of Italy; and, Saarland, Stuttgart and North Rhine-Westphalia of Germany had arrived in the destination places to support local epidemic prevention and control.

This batch of donations will be delivered by SF Express, together with the Anbang Pharmaceutical’s second donated protective medicines to overseas Chinese in Netherland, Italy, and Serbia.
