Vice Governor Xie Inspects Key Projects Construction in Changsha

On February 26, Xie Jianhui, CPC Hunan Provincial Standing Committee member and executive vice governor, inspected the construction of key projects in Changsha.

At the construction site of Nanhu Avenue underground tunnel, which is part of the Furong Avenue Upgrading Project, Vice Governor Xie inquired in detail about tunnel and drainage construction progress and difficulties. She required that it is necessary to promote the project construction with high standards, high quality, and high efficiency while implementing epidemic prevention measures. At the construction site of Changsha Huanghua International Airport Northwest Station Site, she observed the implementation of epidemic prevention measures, and urged strict implementation of safety production responsibilities to ensure the quality of the project.

Vice Governor Xie subsequently chaired a meeting on promoting the Changsha Huanghua International Airport Renovation and Expansion Project. She pointed out that the project is Hunan’s largest single project. It is necessary to conscientiously study and implement President Xi Jinping's important speech on coordinated efforts to prevent and control the epidemic and promote economic and social development; pay close attention to the implementation of work; be prepared for potential adversities; improve working ability; and, accelerate the construction progress of ongoing and newly started projects.

She stressed that, it is necessary to:
-Earnestly implement requirements on investment, land use, capital, design, expropriation, and demolition in accordance with the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the Hunan Provincial People’s Government;

-Specify objectives and speed up the current work based on the overall objectives to ensure that the progress requirements are met;

-Speed up the preparatory work, adhere to the law and regulations, promote coordination, cross-operation and efficient communication, and make overall arrangements for the preparatory work; and,

-Arrange special work team and personnel, set deadlines, and assign due project construction responsibilities to units, leaders, and individuals.
