Hunan Deploys Tasks to Help Cultural Tourism Enterprises Get out of Difficulties

The Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism convened meetings continuously on Feb. 12 and Feb. 13, to deploy resumption tasks for departments of culture and tourism across Hunan. It required these departments to put the epidemic prevention and control at the top priority, coordinate the work of culture and tourism, and promptly issue policies to help the cultural tourism industry tide over difficulties and ensure stability.

The cultural tourism industry is heavily affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. The Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism required that:
Take good use of the Internet and cloud platforms to organize theme works creation and collection activities on “Participating in the Fight Against the Epidemic in Art Forms, Visiting Hunan Online”; 

Focus on cultural creative design, animation games and online reading, online sightseeing, online exhibitions, network publicity, online training and online marketing; 

Concentrate on the prevention and control of the epidemic and actively develop new business forms and new products such as study tours, sports tourism and health and wellness tourism to meet people’s consumption needs for healthy living; and, 

Prepare a number of key cultural tourism projects related to healthy lifestyle that can be implemented after the epidemic. 

In response to tourism enterprises suffering great losses, the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Hunan Provincial Tourism Association and business representatives discussed about enterprise self-help measures, stabilize posts to ensure employment and capital turnover, learned about enterprises’ difficulties in social security, tax, rent and training, and helped them build up confidence. 

The Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism said it will promptly work out policies and take measures to help cultural tourism enterprises pull through.
