After the Spring Festival travel rush began, Changsha border inspection agencies saw rising entry and exit trips. Since January 1, 2020, about 7,000 entry-exit trips were handled every day. Travelers and flights increased by more than 10% over last year.
The Changsha border inspection authority forecasted several travel rush peaks during the Spring Festival holiday – between January 24 and 30:
- From 11:30 to 13:00 everyday
- From 17:00 to 19:00 everydey
- From 22:00 to 1:00 next day
- Exit travel rush peak will be seen on January 24 and 25, and entry peak on January 29 and 30.
Changsha border inspectors gives advices that:
1. Do check-in at the airport two hours in advance for their exit trips, and then complete outbound customs as soon as possible;
2. Travelers with Chinese regular e-passports are suggested to use self-service customs clearance service;
3. Foreign travelers are suggested to get their departure/arrival cards, or group visa prepared in advance; and,
5. Consulting policemen on duty in case of any questions.
