The Hunan General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection announced on October 3 that in the first three quarters of 2019, 2.47 million passenger trips were made through Hunan’s exit and entry frontier inspection stations, up 16% over last year. The number of inspected planes and ships entering or leaving Hunan was 15,000, an increase of 11%. The data both hit a record high for the same period last year.

From January to September, the monthly high passenger trips through Hunan’s airports and ports were more than 330,000, and daily high passenger trips were nearly 13,000. During the period, there were 590,000 foreigners entering or leaving Hunan, a year-on-year increase of 23% and ranking first among six provinces in central China.

"The number of exit and entry passenger trips reached 2.47 million on November 1, 2018. But this year the figure was made more than 40 days earlier than last year," said relevant person in charge of the Hunan General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection. Thanks to the development of “four-hour aviation economic circle” in Changsha and newly-opened international air routes, exit and entry passenger trips in Hunan are expected to hit a record high of more than 3 million this year.
