Sui Zhongcheng, Hunan vice governor, met with President of Finnish Honkajoki Ltd. in Changsha on the afternoon of July 21, 2019.
Honkajoki Ltd. is Finland’s leading processor of animal by-products. It was founded in 1967. It is a worldwide leader in manufacturing and refining animal by-products into high-quality, clean and safe, raw materials in various industrial sectors. It plans to invest 250 million EUR in the Hunan-Northern Europe Economic Cooperation Center. This will be used to establish Honkajoki’s China headquarters in Hunan and build ecological industrial parks in Yongzhou and Changde. The Honkajoki President and his entourage came to Hunan to promote the project and to put it into production as soon as possible.
Vice Governor Sui described Hunan as a powerhouse of agriculture and animal husbandry. It needs high-level ecological environmental protection during its evolution to high-quality development. Hunan will provide full support and dedicated services for Honkajoki’s investment and development. “We will work together to build a cooperative project in Hunan into a model and benchmark for animal waste management for China and the world,” he added.
The Honkajoki President remarked that Hunan's huge potential and opening up momentum are the main reasons for it to settle there. It is expected that the cooperation will soon bear fruit and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
