The plaque-conferring ceremony of the Hunan Pharmaceutical Development Investment Group Co., Ltd. (Hunan Pharmaceutical Group for short) was held in Changsha on September 21, 2022. Chen Fei, vice governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province and secretary of the CPC Committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Hunan Provincial People's Government (SASAC Hunan), attended.

The establishment of the Hunan Pharmaceutical Group is an important measure for the second phase of layout optimization and structural adjustment of provincial state-owned enterprises this year. It marks that Hunan's pharmaceutical industry embarks on a new journey for development.

The Hunan Pharmaceutical Group is a first-class commercial enterprise set up with the approval of the People's Government of Hunan Province. The SASAC Hunan fulfills the responsibilities of the investor and undertakes the functional task of emergency supply of medicines, medical equipment, and consumables reserve in the whole province.

In the future, the group will focus on such fields as medicine, medical equipment, inspection and testing, medical consumables, and elderly care that are needed for people's life and health, to build an industrial chain of R&D, production, circulation, health care, investment and financing, and become a chief enterprise of the industrial chain.

As of August 31, 2022, Hunan Pharmaceutical Group had total assets of 7.473 billion yuan and net assets of 3.493 billion yuan. It achieved a consolidated operating revenue of over 2.8 billion yuan between January and August. It now has 9 branch enterprises. They are: Hunan Nucien Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Hunan Jianlang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Hunan Spring Nine Modern Chinese Medicine Co., Ltd., Hunan Tianjin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Hunan Carnation Pension Industry Investment and Real Estate Co., Ltd., Hunan Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd., Hunan Chuangwang Medical Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Xindajun Medical Equipment Co., Ltd., and Hunan Pharmaceutical Development Group Health Pension Fund Management Co., Ltd.
