On August 29th, a conference on building Hunan into a hub of reform and opening up in inland regions was held in Changsha.

In order to summarize the outcomes and promote practices, while creating a positive competitive atmosphere, the Hunan Provincial People's Government decided to commend 6 cities, 14 counties (county-level cities and districts), and 12 industrial parks.

The outstanding units commended for their efforts in building Hunan into a hub of reform and opening up in inland regions are: 

Outstanding Cities: 

Changsha City, Chenzhou City, Xiangtan City, Changde City, Yongzhou City, and Yueyang City;

Outstanding Counties (county-level cities and districts):

Changsha County, Zhengxiang District, Tianyuan District, Xiangtan County, Shaodong City, Yunxi District, Taoyuan County, Yongding District, Ziyang District, Suxian District, Jianghua Yao Autonomous County, Yuanling County, Louxing District, and Luxi County;

Outstanding Industrial Parks:

Changsha High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone, Changde Economic and Technological Development Zone, Ningxiang High-tech Industrial Zone, Shaodong Economic Development Zone, Chenzhou Economic Development Zone, Taoyuan High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Changsha Yuhua District Economic Development Zone, Jianghua High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Zixing Economic Development Zone, Changsha Huanghua Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and Yueyang Chenglingji Comprehensive Bonded Zone.
