Between January and October this year, Hunan has exported 33.91 billion yuan of cultural products, maintaining a relatively rapid growth of 40% year on year.

Hunan’s cultural products were mainly exported to U.S.A and Hong Kong SAR, taking up nearly 60% of the total in that period. In the first 10 months, the exports of cultural products to U.S.A increased 144% to 11.99 billion yuan while that to Hong Kong SAR reached 8.27 billion yuan. Beyond that, the exports of cultural products to UK and the Netherlands exceeded one billion yuan both.

Private enterprises had contributed most to the cultural product exports. Toys, jewelries, and festive items were major exported commodities. The export of these goods had grown rapidly over last year.

The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) will officially take effect on January 1, 2022. It will help expand the trade between Hunan and the RCEP member countries, especially Japan. It is expected to facilitate Hunan’s export of fireworks and crackers to Japan.
