At the conference, the Yueyang Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Linxiang City, Miluo City, and Chenglingji New Port Area gave industry presentations respectively. Four rounds of signing events were held. The China International Marine Containers (CIMC) Container Co., Ltd. and the Yueyang government signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Fifteen projects with a total investment of more than 20 billion yuan were inked.
In recent years, Yueyang has taken the development of electronic information and intelligent manufacturing industry as a lever to promote high-quality development of regional economy. The electronic information and intelligent manufacturing industry has been included in the city's seven 100-billion-yuan industries and the strategy of the "12+1" advantageous industrial chains. A number of flagship projects were introduced, such as New Kinpo, Huawei, Amer, and Xiaomi. There are more than 100 electronic information companies in Yueyang, including 47 enterprises above designated size. In 2020, output value increased by 44.8% year-on-year. A total of 28,000 small- and medium-sized enterprises achieved online trading through technological transformation and upgrading. Seventeen landmark companies were cultivated, including COFCO Rice Industry. Hunan Kelun Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was approved as a national intelligent manufacturing demonstration enterprise, and two projects including Hunan Kelijia Textile were included in the national intelligent manufacturing integrated standard and new model application projects. Yueyang has taken a solid step in the advancement of the industrial base and the modernization of industrial chain.
