The 2022 Hunan Construction Equipment Industry Chain Development Conference was convened in Changsha on May 18. The conference announced that, the operating revenue of 183 large Hunan-based construction machinery enterprises hit 280 billion yuan in 2021, taking up over 30% of the national total in this industry. Hunan has ranked top nationwide for 12 consecutive years in terms of total assets, operating revenue, and total profit. 

A series of activities were held focusing on Hunan's construction machinery industrial chain development, including the agreement signing and release of the 2023 Changsha International Construction Equipment Exhibition (CICEE), Hunan construction machinery industrial development promotion and cooperation match-making meeting, and the 2022 China Construction Machinery Leasing Information Conference. The exhibitor and visitor promotion work for the 2023 CICEE was hence launched.

The organization committee signed agreements with four of the global top 50 construction machinery enterprises – Sany, Zoomlion, CRCHI, and Sunward, providing an exhibition area of 23,000 square meters. It also reached agreements with related industrial website, enterprises, associations, and exhibition companies for 15,300 square meters of exhibition areas. Nearly 500 exhibitors registered for participation.

Chief Engineer Huang Xuegong from the Hunan Department of Industry and Information Technology said that, by 2025, Hunan will be built into a world-class center for construction machinery R&D and intelligent manufacturing, the largest hub of construction machinery manufacturing in China, and the strongest construction machinery service center nationwide, with its construction machinery cluster output ranking top nationally. By 2035, a world-class construction machinery industrial cluster, which will lead industrial transformation with core technologies, gather global industrial resources, and take the lead in industry scale, will be formed in Hunan Province.
