A medical device industry capital and project match-making meeting of Hunan Province was held on March 12, 2022. According to the meeting, Hunan has been in the front rank in the increase of newly-registered medical devices for three consecutive years. In 2021, an array of 2,408 kinds of class II and III medical devices registered in Hunan, and 127 medical device enterprises started business, both ranking first nationwide. Hunan is among China’s top five in medical device industry. 

In recent years, Hunan has seen good momentum in the development of medical device industry. Five medical device enterprises were listed, and a number of “little giants”, or leading small and medium enterprises that specialize in medical device, emerged.

In 2022, Hunan will focus on the establishment of a credit system and evaluation of professional titles in medical device industry, and boost setting up medical device specialties in higher education institutions. These would help promote high-quality development of the industry.

Fifteen representative projects were shown at the meeting, from the perspectives of their core participators, project introduction, operation mode, core competitiveness, market prospect analysis, and management. Several projects reached intended deals of cooperation.
