The Xiangtan Advanced Metal Materials Deep Processing Industrial Park opened in Xiangtan High-Tech Industrial Development Zone on November 11, 2021. The first batch of six industrial chain projects including Hunan Ruihua was signed to settle in the park, with a total investment of 3.88 billion yuan. Hunan Vice Governor Chen Fei announced the opening of the park.

The park is jointly built by Xiangtan High-Tech Industrial Development Zone and Xiangtan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. of Hunan Valin, with a planned area of about 877 mu (58 ha.). Upon completion, it is expected to complete a total investment of 2.6 billion yuan, focusing on the introduction of wire and bar deep processing, steel structure processing, and other projects to form an industrial clustering effect. Meanwhile, the output value of steel deep processing is expected to be 5.5 billion yuan, and that of industry and trade integration 28 billion yuan.

Xiangtan High-Tech Industrial Development Zone is an important area for the industrial chain development and industrial agglomeration of fine steel and new materials in Xiangtan City. In 2020, the entire industrial chain of Xiangtan’s fine steel and new materials accomplished an output value of 59.414 billion yuan. The zone was home to more than 20 enterprises in this industrial chain. Their combined output value was 10.7 billion yuan between January and August this year, a year-on-year increase of 34%.

After the opening of the industrial park, Xiangtan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. of Hunan Valin will take its own advantages to accelerate the construction of core projects such as warehousing, distribution, retail centers, intelligent manufacturing assembly lines, and the “Internet plus steel” innovation platform. It will create a complete basic supporting system to empower enterprises settled in the park. It will also use its industry and brand advantages to assist Xiangtan High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in attracting investment, and strive to introduce more than 5 cooperative supporting enterprises within 3 years.
