Central Government Gives Nod to Changsha’s Efforts on Improving Business Environment

Between October 28 and 29, a national seminar on optimizing business environment was held in Beijing. On October 29, Changsha City, outperforming 41 evaluated cities, shared its experience in inclusive and beneficial innovations on improving business environment. It was seen as the central government’s affirmation of Changsha's efforts on business environment optimization and high-quality development.
 
In recent years, Changsha has mapped out a series of plans to implement the CPC Central Committee and the State Council’s decisions on optimizing business environment, and strengthened top-level design, pragmatic reform and innovation, called for efforts to streamline administration and delegate power, and improve government service. Business environment of the entire city has been improving. 
 
Since this year, the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee and the People’s Government of Changsha City have placed business environment optimization in an important position that is relevant to the overall development. Improving business environment is upgraded as the “No.1 Project” to promote high-quality development. The year 2019 has been identified as the “Year of Business Environment Optimization”. Four special measures have been made to build Changsha into an attractive, creative and competitive business environment hub. They include service efficiency improvement, cost reduction of the real economy, protection of entrepreneurs' rights and interests, and policy implementation. The facilitative and predictable measures aim to increase the sense of gain of businesses and the public.
