Third Hunan (Yueyang) Port Economic and Trade Expo

The third Hunan (Yueyang) Port Economic and Trade Expo will be held in Yueyang between November 10th and 14th. With the theme of "Boosting Port Economy and Facilitating Inland Openness", the expo aims to promote the development of port economy and strengthen port exchanges and cooperation.

The expo is divided into three parts:

-- The opening ceremony and port cooperation and development forum; special forum; and, procurement matchmaking meeting for international ports' commercial and trade enterprises;

-- Investment and trade promotion conference and major project signing ceremony, to promote Hunan's key industries and projects related to five major international logistics channel construction to domestic and foreign merchants; and,

-- Commodity fair with an exhibition area of more than 8,000 square meters and an estimated participation of more than 200 exhibitors. 

This year's expo will be connected to the international community in a closer way. It highlights cooperation with members of Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), Africa, and other countries and regions, to integrate into the development of the Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone. It has specially set up two forums for the coordinated and open development of pilot free trade zones in central and western parts of China and for the economic and trade cooperative development of China-Africa ports. New guest countries of honor, theme provinces and partner cities were added. Tanzania, Ghana and Laos are invited as the guest countries of honor, Chongqing Municipality as the theme provincial-level region, and Huaihua City as the partner city to participate in the event.

During the expo, RCEP member countries such as Tanzania, Ghana and Laos, as well as representatives of African countries, and foreign diplomats will be invited. The exhibition will open exhibition areas for guest countries of honor including Tanzania, Ghana, and Laos, as well as overseas commodity exhibition areas such as the International Cooperation Commodity Pavilion, the South Korean Brand Pavilion, the Australian Life Pavilion, and the Taiwan and Hong Kong Brand Pavilion.
