It was learned from the Shaodong Municipal People’s Government on March 13 that, the city will host the Fifth Hardware and Electromechanical Expo between April 6 and 8, 2021.

The expo of this year is themed on “Shaodong Small Hardware to Bolster Emerging Industry”. It has planned 1,200 standard booths, covering an area of 30,000 square meters, and attracting 900 exhibitors. At that time, domestic hardware companies and brands will be displayed at the venue, while foreign customers will join the exhibition through online livestream. All the preliminary preparations are basically in place.

Shaodong has the largest hardware and electromechanical market in central south China. There are more than 3,500 hardware tool production and operating companies, and over 50,000 employees here, forming a complete industrial chain. Its annual production capacity of wrenches, pliers, and hammers can reach 300 million sets, and the output value exceeded 2 billion yuan. More than 70% of the products are exported to Europe, America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and other places.

Since 2017, Shaodong City has continuously held the hardware and electromechanical fairs, attracting 300,000 arrivals to the exhibition. There were 72 agreements signed for enterprises settlement in industrial park and technological innovation, and the transaction volume exceeded 16 billion yuan.
