Changsha Investment Environment Promotion Meeting for Japanese Enterprises

The Changsha Municipal Bureau of Commerce announced on November 13 that, the 2019 Changsha Investment Environment Promotion Meeting for Japanese enterprises will be held on November 16. It is Changsha’s key investment promotion activity. More than 200 guests from over 100 well-known Japanese enterprises will participate.
This meeting aims to further attract investment from Japanese enterprises in the advanced manufacturing industry. It focuses on industrial cooperation, so as to boost Changsha’s high-quality economic development.
It will be attended by representatives of well-known Japanese enterprises including Sumitomo Electric Industries, Mitsui & Co., Ltd., AEON, Omron, Itochu, Yamazaki Mazak, as well as representatives of Japanese organizations.
In addition to promoting Changsha’s overall investment environment, the meeting will also facilitate the Changsha Economic Development Zone, Changsha National High-tech Development Zone, Yuhua Economic Development Zone, and Liuyang High-tech Development Zone to promote themselves and seek cooperation with Japanese enterprises. A number of key projects will be signed at the meeting.
In recent years, Changsha has been committed to strengthening economic and trade exchanges with Japan. More and more Japanese enterprises have come to invest in Changsha, covering fields such as auto parts and accessories manufacturing, electric machine manufacturing, and electronic components and electronic materials manufacturing. 
In 2018, the trade volume between Changsha and Japan amounted to 1.376 billion USD, up 17.48% from last year. Changsha’s exports to Japan totaled 249 million USD, up 33.72%. Now Japan has become Changsha’s fourth largest trading partner and the second largest source of foreign capital, after Hong Kong.
