Zhou Qiang Meets Part of Forum Guests

Changsha, April 17 (Hunan United Front Work Department Net) —— The 2009 International Cooperation Forum on Resources and Environment will be open tomorrow. Guests home and abroad arrive in Changsha today. On this afternoon, Hunan Governor Zhou Qiang met with part of forum guests, hoping to further deepen the cooperation and co-propel the construction of ‘Two-oriented’ society construction in Hunan.

Governor Zhou welcomes the presence of all the guests in this international cooperation forum on resources and environment. Resource conservation and environmental protection has become an important research subject in the current world, or rather, a global concern. This international forum, revolving around the theme of ‘Two-oriented’ society construction of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan city cluster, one of the six pilot areas approved by the State Council of China, has aroused wide attention home and abroad. It is a good beginning, says Zhou, hoping that with the great support from guests home and abroad, this forum will be a forum featured by experience-exchange, problem-solving, action-conducting, and strategy-adoption, and meanwhile, as a new starting point and grand opportunity, more broad and in-depth cooperation will be conducted. Against the global financial crisis, Hunan enjoys a very broad cooperative prospects and huge potentials for cooperation with countries, regions, international organizations and enterprises. Zhou hopes that cooperation in such fields as infrastructure, electronic information, environmental protection, etc. will be further enhanced and deepened. 

 

Guests present in the meeting say this international forum, with the construction of ‘Two-oriented’ society as its theme, has aroused wide attention in the international community, and has great significance. They sincerely wish a great success to this forum and wish for a strengthened cooperation in relevant fields.
