Taro, also called Binglang Taro, has a planting history of over 1,000 years in Jiangyong County. Taro is mainly produced in Taochuandong Town in Jiangyong, so it is also called “Taochuan Taro”. Taros in Jiangyong are big and taste tender and delicious. Taros, containing large amount of starch, protein and vitamins, is a kind of delicacy which can be stewed, fried, braised or stir-fried.
