Appreciating the vast lake against the snow-capped peaks, you will find one half of the city is taken by mountains and the other by waters is a vivid description of Yiyang which is located in the central by north of Hunan Province. Since ancient times, Yiyang has been famous as a land of fish and rice as it embraces the Zijiang River and Dongting Lake, and also the climate here is temperate.

Entering the land of bamboos in Taohuajiang, tourists may take the typical Wudao Tea in a farmer's house, watch the performance of happy dance and drink mellow wine. In the land of flowers in Taohuajiang, tourists will always get lost in a sea of flowers. And the land of fish in Heshan district owns many large fishing grounds with a total area of over 7,000 hectares, where tourists may go fishing and taste the delicious fish banquet prepared by local fishermen.


Tourists in Yiyang may also visit some historical sites, such as the ancient Heavenly Question Pavilion, the site where Guanyu, a famous general of Kingdom Shu in the Three Kingdoms period (220AD-280AD), went to a critical banquet with a single sword, Zhuge Well as well as Lu Su Causeway.
