I am an applicant from HK/Macau/Taiwan holding Hong Kong/ Macau/ Taiwan driving license.

Residents from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan also need to apply for a Chinese Driving License to drive in mainland China.

Here are procedures of getting the Chinese driving license:
The applicant submit your application to Vehicle Administration Office of Changsha Municipal Public Security Bureau of with all the required materials prepared→pay fees at Charging Window→go to Changsha Driving Test Center for accepting Subject 1 test→ test→ after passed all the exams, the applicant go to Acceptance Window in Motor Vehicle Administration for acceptance and production of driving license.

Here are the documents you shall prepare before submission of the driving license application： 
1. Motor vehicle driving license application form;
2. Certificate for driver’s physical condition;
(You need to do a simple medical checkup.)
3. Mainland Travel Permit for HK and Macau Residents or Home-Visiting Certificate
   Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwanese or Travel Permit of PRC issued and Ministry of Foreign Affairs 
4.The original and copy of Residence permit or residence certificate (issued by local related department)
5.The original and copy of residence certificate and stay certificate issued by local public security organ

6. The original and copy of the both sides HK/Macau/Taiwan driving license;
7. 3 recent one-inch color photos with a white background
