On April 13, fields alongside the Xiangjiang River at Jinjiang Intersection of Changsha City was smoothed by the bulldozers and excavators. On the day, the Water Affairs Bureau of Yuelu District and institutes of related streets started work on renovation of riverway between the Sanchaji Bridge and Xiangjiang Bridge on Xiangfu Road, focusing on actions affecting water quality and flood season treatment like developing vegetable patches and constructing illegal sheds. The renovation is aimed to recover the river way and protect the ecological environment of the Xiangjiang River.
