1st China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo Promoted in Beijing

A promotion conference for the 1st China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo was held in Beijing on January 9, 2019. More than 70 diplomatic envoys from over 50 African countries participated. China’s Assistant Minister of Commerce Li Chenggang, and Hunan’s Vice Governor He Baoxiang, addressed the conference.

Hunan is the fixed address of China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, approved by the China’s Central Government and the State Council. It will be co-organized by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, and the Hunan Provincial People’s Government, biennially. The 1st session will be held in Changsha between June 18 and 20 this year. The theme is “cooperate for mutual benefits; substantially enhance China-Africa economic and trade relations”. 

Vice Governor He stated that, Hunan and African people have deep-rooted friendship. Hunan and African countries share similar industrial structure, and huge potential for cooperation.

He invited the diplomatic envoys, and government and commercial delegations, to participate in the expo. Hunan will spare no effort to make sound preparations. Local reception and preferential charges will be provided for the participating guest countries, friendly cities (provinces and states), African counties’ embassies in China, international organizations, and major African exhibitors.
