Bounded by Liuyang River, 16.59 km of the green corridor runs across Changsha county and the rest goes through Yuhua district. Apart from trees such as Cinnamomum camphora, dawn redwood, gingko and cherry, the county section also plans to build six football pitches and courts for basketball and badmintons, said officials.
It will not only be a scenic belt for maglev passengers, but also a sports zone for local residents.
In the future, the city also plans to build a number of landscape nodes and parks along the corridor, within a planned area of 15,000 mu (1,000 hectares), added officials.
