Changsha Metro Line 1 (PhaseⅠ) started its trial run on March 21, 2016.
Changsha Metro Line 1 (PhaseⅠ) starts from Kaifu District Government Station in the north and ends up at Shangshuangtang Station in the south, crossing with the Metro Line 2 in operation at Wuyi Square. With a total length of 23.627 km, 20 stations have been built, among which 19 are underground, and one is elevated.
This north-south Metro Line is to connect Changsha’s main financial districts, including Wujialing area, Wuyi Square area, Dongtang area, and Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan intersection area.
During the trial run period, all the metro staffs will be in place, conducting final modulation and testing and preparing for trial operation. It is expected to officially open to citizens in late June this year.
