A shield tunneling machine started drilling ground at Pingyang Station of Yuhua District on June 15, 2016, marking the official tunneling phase of the Changsha Metro Line 4 project. The machine is tunneling towards Changsha South Railway Station direction at a speed of 7.5 meters per day.
