The International Commercial & Legal Cooperation Forum 2018 will be held in Changsha between November 27 and 29. It is hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and organized by the Changsha Municipal People’s Government, CCPIT Commercial and Legal Service Center, and CCPIT Changsha Council.
In order to raise the city’s international profile, Changsha intensified strategic collaboration with CCPIT, and took the initiative to organize the forum. It is a practice to integrate legal cooperation into the implementation of the national “Belt and Road” Initiative, development of open economy, and acceleration of building the inland area a new opening-up highland. It will serve national strategies, promote international commercial and legal cooperation, and establish an exchange and cooperative platform for the enterprises in Changsha.
Themed with “New Era, New Platform, and New Opportunity”, the Forum will focus on legal communication, commercial and legal integration, and international cooperation. There will be five themed panels: opportunities brought by the “Belt and Road” Initiative – from the perspectives of law and policy; legal issues concerning international trade and investment; free trade zone and regional economic cooperation; international trade and investment dispute resolution; and intellectual property innovation and protection. A special dialogue will be held for the compliance managers, lawyers, and experts of the Global Fortune 500 companies, and Chinese central enterprises and private entrepreneurs. The forum will also publicize an international commercial and legal cooperation initiative; launch the establishment of an international commercial and legal service platform; organize legal service demonstration; and arrange enterprise matchmaking activities.
