Hong Kong Photography Exhibition

The Hong Kong section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed railway opened to traffic on September 23. It will bring Changsha and Hong Kong closer together. The Changsha Library hold the Hong Kong Photography Exhibition to help Changsha citizens to learn more about Hong Kong. The exhibition will be on display from September 20 to October 20. It is hosted by the Hunan Liaison Office of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong & Macao Affairs Office of the Hunan Provincial People’s Government. It is supported by the International Communication Office of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, Changsha Culture, Radio, Press and Publication Bureau, and the Changsha Liaison Office of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. It is co-organized by the Changsha Library.
 
The exhibition includes three themes, i.e. “Natural Landscape”, “Festivals and Events”, and “Transportation and Infrastructure”. Each theme displays forty or fifty photo works. More than 100 photos covering Hong Kong's various aspects such as economy, history, finance, geography, customs, culture, festivals, events, media, architecture, technology, literature, and development are displayed. 
 
Hong Kong is a prosperous international metropolis. It is the third largest financial center in the world after New York and London. It enjoys the reputation of the “Pearl of the Orient” and “Shopping and Food Paradise”. Changsha is one of the first batch of China’s historical and cultural cities. It is called as the “National Civilized City” and “Happiest City in China” for many years. It is moving towards an international metropolis. In recent years, it was honored as the “Culture City of East Asia” and “City of Media and Art”. The exhibition allows visitors to feel the different charms and the cultural integration of the two cities at the same time.
