The Serse Art Exhibition kicked off at Hunan Tan Guobin Contemporary Art Museum on April 1, 2017. The theme of the exhibition is "Inner Remoteness, Vision Beyond the Horizon". Serse, an Italian visual artist, was invited to display his 80 art works at the exhibition. It is open to the public for free.
Profile of Serse
Serse Roma (San Polo di Piave, Italy, 1952) lives and works in Trieste. He teaches drawing at the Academy in Urbino. Over the years he has produced an extraordinary series of images, which have earned him a place in "Drawing", published by the Phaidon Press.
Serse’s work has been displayed in many museums, including Musée d’art Moderne et Contemporaine de Saint-Etienne Métropole, Centre Pompidou, Musée National d’ArtModerne, Paris, France.
The artist produces his works by using graphite powder and rubber on paper. His works represent the plant and architectural landscape as only a photograph can and is characterized by the sophisticated use of black and white.
