The Seventh China (Hunan) Tourism Industry Exposition (the Expo) will take place at Changsha Red Star International Exhibition Center from Nov. 23, 2016 to Jan. 3, 2017. The Expo is expected to hit a record high again in attendance and scale.
Scenario-based exhibition arrangement will be adopted in four major exhibition areas to fully demonstrate Hunan’s rich tourism resources. The exhibition areas, covering an area of 30,000 square meters, focus on displaying splendid Xiaoxiang, charming Xiaoxiang, brilliant Xiaoxiang and happy Xiaoxiang. Meanwhile, a series of featured exhibition areas will be set up, including a pavilion to showcase the profile of 13 cities and one prefecture, exhibition areas on Chinese ancient town cluster, region-based tourism demonstration area, strong county as a tourism destination in Hunan, and “wisdom plus tourism” cloud exhibition area.
The Expo also features many interactive activities, including New Year Lantern Show, Spring Festival Temple Fair, cheongsam contest, and family tour-themed photography contest.
Since its inception in 2010, the Expo has developed into an international professional exhibition in central China for its largest scale and market trade, and most complete operational types of tourism. It has attracted over 3600 exhibitors from inside and outside the province, driven the development of thousands of local specialties and the upgrading of scenic areas, and directly or indirectly helped over 700,000 people get rid of poverty.
