Hunan, State of Mexico Sign Cooperation MoU

Chinese Ambassador in Mexico Qiu Xiaoqi, and CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Secretary Du Jiahao, visited the State of Mexico on September 17, 2018. They, together with the State Governor Alfredo del Mazo Maza, attended a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony for establishing friendly province-state ties between Hunan and the State of Mexico. 

Ambassador Qiu said, thanks to the concerns and efforts of both governments, China-Mexico relationship is in full swing in recent years. Being important trade partners, both countries are striving for deepening cooperation, and encouraging local governmental exchanges. Hunan is an economic powerhouse in south central China. It has abundant natural resources, featured industries, and profound historic and cultural deposit. Hunan and the State of Mexico has similar development targets, which brings cooperation potential. He hoped Secretary Du will take this opportunity to promote province-state cooperation in the areas of economy and trade, culture, education, and science and technology, and to contribute to enrich the national level strategic partnership. 

Secretary Du and State Governor del Mazo respectively introduced their own places, and expressed optimistic view of economic and trade cooperation potential. They both expected to expand cooperative fields, enhance cooperation levels, share opportunities, promote exchanges, and achieve win-win results. Later on, both sides signed MoUs.
