On the afternoon of June 10, Vice Governor He Baoxiang met in Changsha with Hungarian National Assembly member.

Vice Governor He Baoxiang said that in recent years, Hunan has maintained close contacts with Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries, including Hungary. At present, the “Hunan-Europe Express Line” has opened freight trains between Changsha and Budapest, which facilitates the economic and trade cooperation between Hunan and Hungary. With the further advancement of the “Belt and Road” initiative and the “16+1 Cooperation” (a cooperation mechanism between China and 16 CEE countries), the cooperation between Hunan and Hungary will meet new opportunities. It is hoped that this visit will be an opportunity to further expand exchanges and cooperation of both sides in the fields of economy, culture, science and technology, tourism, and especially in life sciences.

The National Assembly member stated that the friendly exchanges between Hungary and China have a long history, and we are pleased with the development achievements made in Hunan and other provinces in China. Hungary not only looks forward to strengthening economic and trade cooperation with Hunan, but also hopes to increase mutual emotional connection and seek more consensus on exchanges.
