By the submission deadline on March 12, Hunan delegation has submitted 535 proposals in total to the fifth session of the 12th National People’s Congress.
The proposals showed a full coverage of most concerned issues, including: stepping up reform and innovation to reinforce internal driving force; strengthening ecological civilization construction to protect water and forest resources; taking targeted measures to help people lift themselves out of poverty and to fulfill poverty alleviation tasks on schedule; pushing forward supply-side reform in agriculture to promote steady development of agriculture; continuing to reduce and exempt tax, and cancel or exempt administrative fees to give greater supports to private enterprises; strengthening the rule of law, and improving laws and regulations to maintain social justice; promoting cultural progress and socialist core values; and, beefing up employment, education, healthcare, old-age care and other undertakings related to people’s wellbeing.
In order to fully perform their responsibility by offering more valuable proposals, Hunan deputies took full consideration of practical conditions of each industrial sector, and made field investigations and surveys, to make their proposals down to earth, and more linked to the interest of the people.
