Hunan to Further Cooperate with UCAA

Vice Governor of Hunan Province Xiang Lili met in Changsha with President of the United Chinese Alumni Association (UCAA) Doct. Ma Xiangjiang on March 6, 2017.


Vice Governor Xiang briefed Hunan’s development of research and education.


"Hunan ranks the 11th in terms of comprehensive innovation capacity across the nation. Current priority is given to an overall implementation of the innovation-oriented and rise via opening-up strategy, to build a powerful province in scientific research and education. Hunan has maintained collaborations with the USA in science and technology, education, and health care." He said.


He expected that the UCAA would, based on its influence in Silicon Valley area, facilitate innovation exchange and cooperation between the two sides, and contribute more to the development of Hunan, the hometown of President Ma.


President Ma vowed to give full play to the UCAA’s advantages, to promote collaboration between hi-tech industry in Silicon Valley and Hunan Province, introduce cutting-edge research and leading talents to Hunan to support its “Silicon Work Station”, and further deepen substantial cooperation in such sectors as cloud-computing, and big data technology.
