A photography activity titled “Worldwide Chinese Photographers—Images of Changsha” kicked off at the Orange Isle on July 31, 2017. In the following four days, 18 Chinese photographers from all over the world and Hunan-born photographers will capture the scenery, culture, and history of Changsha through their lens.

Themed on “City of Media Arts and Innovation”, the event aims to record and showcase Changsha’s distinctive cityscape from the international perspective of visual arts.

The photographers in 9 groups will take photos in 9 cities (counties/districts) of Changsha focusing on history, culture, scenery, innovation, development, entertainment, and openness. They will visit landmarks including Yuelu Academy, Orange Isle, Taiping Ancient Street, Wuyi financial district, Changsha Museum, Changsha Library, Changsha Concert Hall, Changsha Planning Exhibition Hall, university town, Meixi Lake International Culture and Art Center, Shaping—a Hunan embroidery town, and Tongguan Kiln, as well as key enterprises and industrial parks. Their works will help promote Changsha to the world.

A conference to evaluate and exchange ideas on photography works will be held on August 3.
