Xiangjiang Big Data Innovation Summit 2017 Held in Changsha

The Xiangjiang Big Data Innovation Summit 2017 was held in Changsha on December 6. It was organized by the Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Department. Chinese and foreign big data experts, sharing economy and investment organization executives, and representatives of leading enterprises, participated. They discussed data resource sharing and the way to promote innovative integration of big data and conventional industries.

CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee Vice Chairman and Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Department Director Lai Mingyong addressed the Summit.

Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) academician Xu Zongben, and Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) academician Chen Xiaohong, respectively lectured on the topics of artificial intelligence and big data, and data accumulation and application innovation.

The Changsha Big Data Innovation Center was officially launched on the same day. Based on Hunan’s big data industry, it will engage in big data algorithm and analysis technology research, and innovative integration of big data and intelligent city. It aims to facilitate industrial use of the research achievements, and Hunan’s big data research and market development.

The Changsha Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, one of the first batch of 27 national hi-tech zones approved by the State Council, will pursue development in the areas of industrial and financial big data, said the Zone Management Committee Deputy Director Chen Zhihong.
