Khamphay Sisavanh, vice minister of the Education and Sports Ministry of Laos, recently led a delegation to inspect Hunan. They also visited Tianwen Digital Media Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China South Publishing & Media Group. They aimed to jointly explore new cooperation opportunities with Hunan in education field on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of The “Belt and Road” Initiative.
In recent years, Hunan has developed an increasingly close relationship with Laos. Since the Vientiane-Changsha direct flight opened in 2015, Laos central committee, including Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Public Security and Ministry of Public Works and Transport, and Laos delegations from Vientiane City and Oudomxay Province have successively visited Hunan for inspection. Hunan has also organized delegations of governments at all levels and enterprises to pay a visit to Laos.
“China and Laos are neighbors and both have been on the road toward socialism. So it is a general trend for China and Laos to deepen their contacts,” said Vice Chairman of Laos-China Cooperation Committee and former Laos ambassador to China Vichit Xindavong. He has witnessed the development of China-Laos friendship, and claimed that it was a necessary choice for both sides to carry out a continuous in-depth communication and development. He believed that Laos education delegation’s visit to China’s leading digital education enterprise would be the best evidence and achievement.
